1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
2 cups flour
3 tablespoons Big Sur Gourmet Cowboy Rub (plus extra for sprinkle and garnish)
2 cups buttermilk
Marinate chicken overnight in buttermilk with 2 tablespoons of Big Sur Gourmet Cowboy Rub.
Dredge chicken in flour seasoned with remaining tablespoon of Big Sur Cowboy Rub. Deep fry chicken in oil heated to 350° until thoroughly cooked (165° internal temperature). Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
