Serves 4-6

Ingredients:

Assorted frozen dumplings (assorted pot stickers, gyoza, and shumai)

Dipping Sauce:

1 teaspoon granulated sugar

1 tablespoon hot water

2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

1 teaspoons rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Shredded scallions and cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Heat oil in a large, high-sided, skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil reaches 325°F and, working in batches, fry the frozen dumplings for 2-3 minutes (flipping if necessary) or until crispy and golden brown. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove them from the hot oil and set aside to drain on paper towels or on a wire rack.

Dissolve sugar in hot water. Once dissolved, add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, red pepper oil, sesame oil, and sesame seeds, whisk until blended. Serve the fried dumplings immediately with the dipping sauce on the side. Garnish with shredded scallions and cilantro.
