Chipotle Cheese Ball

You gotta love a good cheese ball! The spreadable dip that is always a hit at our parties and potlucks. We made this cheese ball using our newest blend, Big Sur Gourmet Chipotle Seasoning. A tasty combination of flaky sea salt, dried garlic, dried onion flakes, orange peel, dried bell peppers, dried chipotle peppers, spices, and herbs that pairs so well with the chorizo, mont-jack cheese in this recipe.


Serves 6 


Ingredients: 


2 packages cream cheese, softened 

½ cup deli-style chorizo, minced (plus extra for coating) 

1 cup monterey-jack cheese, grated (plus extra for coating) 

3 tablespoons Big Sur Gourmet Chipotle Seasoning (plus extra for coating) 


Crackers, crostini, tortilla chips, and veggies, for dipping and spreading. 


Instructions 

Place softened cream cheese in a large bowl. Add the minced chorizo, cheese, and seasoning blend, and stir to combine. Divide the mixture in half and place on large sheets of plastic wrap. Using the plastic wrap to secure, form the mixture into two balls. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours. Once firm, unwrap, and roll the balls in some extra minced chorizo, grated cheese, and seasoning before serving.
