Creamy Garlic Mustard Pasta Sauce

This creamy pasta sauce is beautifully seasoned using our Roasted Garlic Champagne Mustard, adding rich garlicky flavor and a piquant punch from the blend of Dijon and grainy mustards. This pasta sauce is perfect for the cooler Fall weather, hearty and filling and pairs well with shellfish, pork, and chicken.

Serves 6
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Gil's Double Garlic Olive Oil
1 shallot, peeled and minced
4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
¼ cup white wine
2 tablespoons Gil’s Roasted Garlic Champagne Mustard
½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
San Fran Sea Salt, to taste
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the shallot and garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 2 minutes or until tender. Deglaze the skillet with wine and bring to a simmer. Simmer until the wine has reduced by half. Add the mustard, broth, and heavy cream to the skillet and whisk to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Remove the sauce from the heat and add the parmesan cheese, whisk until melted, and season to taste with salt.
