Wicked Good Spinach & Sweet Onion Dip

We can’t get enough of this dip! The combination of Gil’s Double Garlic Olive Oil, sweet onions, baby spinach, and our Big Sur Gourmet Wicked Good Salt make this one memorable appetizer–perfect for game day! The seasonings’ combination of ingredients (flaky sea salt, dried garlic, dried onion flakes, cracked black pepper, and dried ginger) give this recipe a gourmet edge without the excess ingredients or prep time.

Serves 6
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Gil’s Double Garlic Olive Oil
1 cup sweet onions, peeled and diced
5 ounces fresh baby spinach
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons Big Sur Gourmet Wicked Good Salt
Assorted potatoes chips, crackers, and veggies, for dipping
Instructions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the onions, and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes. Add the spinach (working in batches, if necessary), stir to combine with the onions, and sauté until wilted. Remove from the heat and transfer to a large bowl. Add the mayo, sour cream, and seasoning to the bowl and stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve (best results if you let the dip set overnight).
