This twist on the classic shrimp cocktail is perfect for summer entertaining. We used our Habanero Spiced Marinated Garlic to add a spicy kick to our cocktail sauce, infusing well with the fresh veggies and seasoning.
Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
Cocktail Sauce:
1 cup fresh tomato, minced
1/4 cup cucumber, minced
2 tablespoons pickled onions, minced
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Gil’s Habanero Spiced Marinated Garlic juice
4 each Gil’s Habanero Spiced Marinated Garlic, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
2 teaspoons grated horseradish
San Fran Sea Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 lb. large poached shrimp, cooled
Instructions
Place tomato, cucumber, pickled onions, ketchup, garlic juice, sliced garlic, lime juice, cilantro, and horseradish in a medium bowl, stir to combine. Season the chunky cocktail sauce to taste with salt and pepper, refrigerate until ready to serve.
To serve, spoon cocktail sauce into a dipping bowl and serve with poached shrimp around the sides.
