Pesto Pepperoni Pizza Sliders

These fun and festive sliders are an appetizer everyone will enjoy! Melty, cheesy, and flavorful, we packed this recipe with deliciousness. Our Artichoke Basil Almond Pesto takes the classic pesto sauce and elevates it by adding California-grown artichokes and almonds. These ingredient additions enhance these sliders with big gourmet meal appeal.

Serves 12
Ingredients:
1 package (12 rolls) dinner rolls, split
3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
4 ounces sliced pepperoni
½ cup pizza sauce
3 tablespoons Gil’s California Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the roll bottoms on the prepared baking sheet and dollop each with pesto sauce. Sprinkle the bottoms with mozzarella and parmesan and top each roll with 2 to 3 pepperoni slices. Dollop the cheese and pepperoni with pizza sauce and cap with the roll tops.
Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, and the remaining parmesan cheese.
Place in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the tops are lightly golden and toasted. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
